After the tension of the previous period, together with the serious realization of November, December was a very relaxed month. Leisurely walks in the city, chilling out at the house for endless binge-watching, going to the movies, and spending quality time with Dora planning our next steps.

Visiting one of the top alternative X-mas markets, the Heissa Holzmarkt, was definitely one of the highlights. With all sorts of delicacies from selected market stalls, homemade Holzmarkt mulled wine, and a retro carousel from the 60s. A very rich program from drag theaters to concerts, movies, and art installations, and all this next to Spree. The temperature was really cold, but everything is cozy and warm at the fire barrel. Highly recommended!

After two consecutive years with guests at our place, hard-partying and dancing (typical Berlin Silvestersjahr), this New Year’s Eve celebration was very calm and peaceful. Minimal decoration, cooking a delicious meal, which easily could feed a small village, and the necessary preparations for the festive table, waiting for the fireworks, as they lit up the sky, to bid farewell to the year just past and welcome the new one. Frohes neues Jahr!
