Autumn in Berlin means the colourful foliage, along with the cool breeze, that transforms the cityscape into a picturesque scene with streets and parks adorned in shades of yellow, orange, and red.

Attending the Eurobasket 2022 quarter-finals at the O2 Arena was a bittersweet experience, as Greece was playing against Germany. A game between the two countries that “share” me. In the end Germany fairly won the game and left us with another “what if” Giannis managed to lead the Greek national team to a trophy.

At the Wuhlheide Park, an open-air venue, took place the long-awaited comeback, since 2017 and their last appearance, of one of the most favourite local bands, the team Bad Kingdom, Moderat. The energy and the vibe of the “band” (Gernot doesn't agree with that description) after 5 years of absence in their hometown, was electrifying. The superb performance together with the iconic visuals, that complemented the music impeccably, was creating a surreal experience and made the entire stadium sing and dance.

Another Berlin-based artist and one of my favourite, is Nils Frahm. He was playing 4 consecutive days in his “house”, Funkhaus, and all of them were sold out! Frahm's talent as a composer, pianist, and performer was on full display as he effortlessly weaved together intricate melodies and ambient soundscapes, crafting a sonic journey that left the audience mesmerized. His use of various instruments, such as the synthesizer and organ, added depth and richness to his music, Each note and pause was executed with precision, leading to moments of both intense beauty and haunting contemplation. It's safe to say that Nils Frahm is a master of his craft and every concert is without a doubt a unique experience!
