October is always an interesting time of the year. As the crisp autumn air settles in, the city transforms into a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors. The streets are adorned with golden leaves, creating a picturesque backdrop, that is almost impossible not to be seduced by.

The 10th anniversary This October was exceptional because I celebrated two anniversaries. First, I completed ten years abroad. It has been ten years since I embarked on an exciting journey that took me far away from my familiar surroundings and into the unknown. It is hard to believe that I have now completed a decade in Germany. A lot of things have changed since the day that I took that plane along with my mother from Athens to the beautiful capital of Lower Saxony. I spent the first year in Hanover and the rest nine in Berlin.

Living in a foreign city such as Berlin, has broadened my perspective, exposed me to diverse cultures, and challenged me to step out of my comfort zone. Through countless adventures, highs and lows, I have learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and open-mindedness. Experiencing new traditions, languages, and ways of life has enriched my understanding of the world and made me deeply understand the meaning of immigration. While the journey hasn't always been easy, the past ten years have instilled in me a sense of gratitude and a deep appreciation for the experiences and memories that will forever shape my life.

Second, which is inextricably linked to the first, Dora and I marked a momentous milestone in our lives as we celebrate 10 years together. It feels like just yesterday when our journey began. On a rainy day, we took a minivan with all our stuff and drove from Hanover to Berlin, filled with laughter, shared dreams, and unconditional support.

Reflecting on the past decade, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the love we have shared and the memories we have created as a team. Through the highs and lows, we have grown together, creating a bond that has only deepened and matured with time. Like a bottle of natural wine made with a special harvest!

As we celebrate this remarkable achievement, I am filled with excitement for the countless adventures, challenges, and precious moments that lie ahead on our journey of love. Here's to many more decades of companionship, mutual inspiration, and an everlasting love that continues to bloom. Dino & Bobi
