june 2023
June was such an exciting month! As the temperature rises, we have the official start of the short, yet intense, Berlin Summer. And that is why June is one of my favorite months in Berlin and probably one of the best periods to visit the city. There are plenty of outdoor activities, great weather conditions ( except the last week ), smiley faces, and many parties.
This year to celebrate Dora’s birthday we chose a different Festival. The Down by the River Festival. A vibrant and exhilarating celebration of music, art, and culture. Almost five years after its last live edition, the small but eclectic Berlin indie open-air festival, celebrated its comeback in the magical garden of://about blank near Ostkreuz. On two outdoor stages, eight bands and solo artists created a unique atmosphere, as their melodies echoed across the garden and blended with the crowd's excited murmurs. It was a truly immersive experience, where people from all walks of life came together, dancing, laughing, and forging connections. The Down by the River Festival showcased the city's vibrant artistic spirit and the power of underground music and culture to unite and inspire. The ideal event to celebrate Dora’s birthday! Happy Bday Bobi!
After a challenging year and a half, I finally had the opportunity to visit Greece again. The reason was, Ι had to renew my passport asap. So I took the opportunity to travel to Athens and meet with my folks after a long period. I also wanted to vote in the Greek elections. After almost 10 years abroad, this was the longest time that I haven't visited my family. I have to admit that this time my trip to Greece was very successful. I spent quality time together with my family. I had the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with my brother without external distractions. I snuggled into mama bear's warm embrace. I went to the beach, chilled in one of the city’s best balconies, enjoyed Cretan delicacies in one of the best meals that I ever had, and discussed new projects with my buddy, Antonis. But the most important thing is that for the first time, I did what I wanted without any regrets or guilt. Until the next time!
