July in Berlin brings a lively atmosphere as summer is in full swing. The city's creative spirit is on full display, as both locals and visitors take advantage of the warm weather to relax by the lakes or spend time with family and friends in the numerous parks. Additionally, July also marks the beginning of the summer holiday season for schools. As a result, many families travel and the city becomes cooler and less noisy for us who choose to stay back.
We spent most of the time renovating our apartment. Things that we always wanted to change, but until now, our procrastination postponed them. From the lighting in the bathroom and the bedroom to the curtains that block the sunlight in the morning ( in Germany blocking the sunlight is not popular for reasonable reasons, but we are Greeks) and last but most important to fix the bed and get a new mattress. It is remarkable how a new mattress can change your life! I know it may sound naive, but I feel like I rediscovered what a great nap feels like. Or maybe I’m just getting older. Seriously, do a favor to your body and get a new mattress asap. It will thank you forever!
In conclusion, July went smoothly without any particular surprises, chilling and enjoying the summer.
Stay tuned though, because we are working on a new big project that is coming soon… I am so excited and I can’t wait!
